STEM baking!

The Grade 5 boys put their understanding of fractions to the test with a fraction baking challenge in STEM! They needed to "solve" the recipe by adding, subtracting and simplifying fractions to get the correct amount of each ingredient. With the help of Selwyn's head chef, Silvana, the students baked their muffins and got a behind-the-scenes tour of Selwyn's kitchen. Ms. Funamoto, M. Dion and Mr. Hodgins supported the effort by taste-testing the delicious muffins. - Meagan Paracholski, Grade 5B Teacher
