BEHIND THE DONATION
STORIES OF SUPPORT

Meet members of our community sharing why they give and the impact their support has made. These stories are a powerful reminder of what we can accomplish together!

Meet Barbara

Meet Barbara — a proud grandmother and legacy-builder. After hearing her son and grandson express their desire to keep the Selwyn House legacy alive, Barbara made a heartfelt gift to support future generations.

Three generations. One shared vision. An enduring tradition.
We’re very close to reaching this year’s goal — and every gift, big or small, brings us one step closer.

Meet Anne-Marie & John-Paul

Meet the proud parents of a Selwyn House School Pre-University student Nicolas Capolicchio '24, Pre-U '25: Anne-Marie and John-Paul. Donors who are deeply grateful for the school’s role in shaping their son’s character and academic success. “The school gave us this big gift from everything he’s experienced here so it’s only fitting to give the gift back.”

Their support helps ensure that future students continue to benefit from the same blend of character development, experiential learning and academic excellence.

Meet Mingming

Meet Mingming, mother of Grade 7 student Marco. She is a proud Selwyn House School parent who believes in the power of community, diversity, and giving back. As a member of our parent community, she made a generous gift to promote inclusivity and ensure every student feels like they belong. "We are especially grateful to our leaders and teachers at Selwyn House for providing our children with this wonderful opportunity to develop their individual musical interests and for fostering an inclusive environment."

Meet David

Meet David Grier, a dedicated Selwyn House School teacher who gives not only time and talent, but also generously donates to help build a stronger, more connected community. “As we're able to expand our community, we are able to improve our community.”
Teachers like David are the heart of Selwyn House School, and their commitment goes far beyond the classroom.
We’re getting very close to reaching this year’s goal — and every gift helps shape the future.
