Pre-U’s Final X-Day Focuses on Wellness and Life Skills

On April 23, the Pre-U cohort marked their final X-day of the school year with a special focus on Wellness—a meaningful, hands-on experience designed to support students’ well-being as they prepare for life beyond Grade 12.
The day featured insightful workshops, including one on university readiness, and a deliciously practical session on how to prepare—and enjoy—a home-cooked meal.
Special thanks go to Ms. Brianna, School Counselor, for leading the informative session “Health and Safety When Living Away from Home,” and to Mr. Dane Gilmore, owner of Paradigm Fitness, for his engaging workshop “Managing Stress Through Breathing and Other Healthy Outlets.”
In the afternoon, students were warmly welcomed into the homes of volunteer parents and staff for “Cooking Basics,” where they learned essential culinary skills in small-group settings. We are deeply grateful to the Presti, Harroch, Steinberg, Stern, Maurovich, Lynam, and Banerjee families for their generosity and hospitality.
As the term draws to a close, these shared experiences are a reminder of the strong community and support that surround our students. Moments like these are truly worth cherishing.
Ms. Lynam, Pre-U Coordinator
