Through the month of November, three Middle School students--Jaedyn, Adi, and Kevin--worked with Ms. Springer, Ms. Brianna, and Ms. Torry to focus on men's health issues pertinent to Middle School students for our Movember activities. They combined educational presentations in assemblies with fun learning activities, such as a men's health Kahoot, a self-image locker decorating contest, and a coping strategies scavenger hunt. Students were awarded prizes, like Movember house shirts, for winning the challenges. Meanwhile, the Senior School's assembly featured Andrei and Ryan's performance to support men's mental health. Andrei spoke candidly about his own connection to the cause, encouraging peers to seek help from the school's experienced counselors if needed. The month culminated in a Middle School Mustache and House T-shirt Day on November 30 where students were invited to sport their mustache (real or fake) and wear their House t-shirts for the day. Mr. Bedard was the winner of the best mustache contest with a few student mustaches coming in second and third. Thanks to the students who organized and participated in these events and brought more awareness to health challenges facing boys and men!
