Are you looking to make a difference in the life of an isolated senior citizen? Selwyn House and Contactivity Seniors Program have a special intergenerational partnership that allows seniors and youth to connect in a variety of ways. Contactivity Centre is a non-profit community centre for active seniors in the Montreal Community.

Friendly Visits Program: Connecting with Seniors weekly
Partner up with a senior citizen and spend time with him/her weekly in person OR over zoom for one hour. Talk about what’s happening in the world, share stories and common interests, play games online like Scrabble or chess. Connect and be there for each other!
- Senior School students - typically do this on Mondays from 4-5 p.m. or at another time mutually agreed upon by you and your senior partner
- Middle School students - typically do this on Tuesdays anytime between 3-5 p.m. or at another time mutually agreed upon by you and your senior partner
Digital Literacy
If you are a computer whiz and want to help senior citizens with things like understanding social media, using Google Suite, organizing files and folders, emailing, etc., consider volunteering as a teaching assistant in an online class for senior citizens. You act as a helper to the digital literacy teacher.
