Headmaster for a day!

On May 26, Grade 9 student Lucas Nanji had a memorable experience when he became Headmaster for the day. Headmaster and personal chauffeur Mike Downey picked Lucas up from his home. At school, they began the day doing outside duty at drop-off on Côte St-Antoine and Argyle. Afterwards, Lucas attended the Senior Admin Team Meeting in the Headmaster's office, contributing unique perspectives on uniforms and the importance of dressing well, then visited some classrooms. Mr. Downey treated Lucas to an off-site lunch with a guest of his choice. Later, they met with the school's CFO and with the Director of Advancement where Lucas looked through a 1936 yearbook and saw how much the school had changed (scouts, cricket, wool blazers!). In the afternoon, Lucas assisted Ms. Funamoto at bus pick-up and supervised the Elementary School Party. Despite the busy schedule, Lucas enjoyed the experience. This one-of-a-kind opportunity was made available at the Known & Loved Gala supporting The Hannaford-Doherty Mental Health and Wellness Fund.
