Exploring Nature's Classroom: Grade 11's Journey into Jacques-Cartier National Park

This year's Grade 11 student-led trip took place from February 9 to 12 and brought us deep into the glacial valley of what is now called Jacques-Cartier National Park. The park is breathtakingly beautiful, situated on the traditional territory of the Innu and Wendat Nations. We camped 12 km into the backcountry area of the park - huddled between a mountain and a river. Everyone partook in a long backcountry hike, a frigid polar dip, and perhaps the most intense part of it all, a competitive game of monopoly! - Mr. Geisterfer, Outdoor Education Program Coordinator
