THE OLD BOYS’ ENDOWMENT FUND

Established 2001
We are proud of the growth of this fund over the years thanks to participants of past Selwyn House Old Boys and Friends’ Golf Tournaments and donations received from many Old Boys and friends of the school. The purpose of this fund is to offer needs-based bursaries to deserving students who could not otherwise afford to attend the school. Over $1.8M has been raised to date and the Old Boys’ Endowment Fund now supports the equivalent of three full five-year bursaries for Grade 7 students.

THE OLD BOYS’ TRIP FUND

Established 1997
Experiential educational opportunities are abundant at Selwyn House. They may take place at the school or within the Montreal area, or they may be out of the province or even out of the country. Some students are in a situation where they cannot participate in any of these opportunities because the cost may be out of reach for them. The Old Boys’ Trip Fund is available to help these students participate in and benefit from these incredible experiences.

Over $300K raised to date supporting the following trips: Music, CAIS Soccer, Model UN, Rugby, World Scholar's, Duke of Edinburgh, Grad Ski Trip, March Middle School Trip, and many more!

THE OLD BOYS’ SPEAKER SERIES FUND

Established 2010
A portion of the proceeds from the annual Old Boys and Friends’ Golf Tournament helps to fund speakers who are invited to the school to address students, parents and/or staff on specific topics concerning boys’ education. Guest speakers share their knowledge and life experiences and broaden our view of the world. The Old Boys’ Association is proud to contribute to the professional development of the staff, the education of the parents, and the encouragement of the students. Grants of up to $10K per year are awarded to SHS staff who apply to cover speaker fees.
