Mr. Stephen Lunny (Steve)
March 21, 1975 - July 26, 2025
The world dimmed on July 26th, 2025 when Stephen Lunny passed away peacefully after nearly two years of battling ALS with the extraordinary strength and grace that defined his life. An unshakable optimist with a sharp intellect, sardonic wit, and a penchant for fun, Steve beat ALS: no part of his spirit bent under its weight.
From his early years as a self-described mama's boy who geeked out on Christmas, gaming, and pop culture to his evolution into a shall we say... Adonis — Steve's journey was one of remarkable growth. He blossomed in sobriety, becoming the brilliant designer and animator known as @steviespin. His career flourished as he channeled his creativity and tech obsession into designing games, apps, and interactive events, taking him from Montreal to Toronto, New York, and Miami.
Steve and family were blessed by the warm support of Susan, Campbell, Garvin, Eliziani, Sachin, Herman, Amelia, Lorena, Archie, Jonathan R, Jonathan M, Josh, Kismet, Joseph, Anik, Penny, Ricardo, Robert, Carlos, Nana, his medical team at the Neuro, the ALS community, and his care circle the Pink Pony Club.
Steve is survived by his great love Jonathan Munoz; his mother Lorinda Smith; siblings Debbie and Bobby; nephews Taiyo, Dillon, and Connor; cousin Suzie; sisters-in-law Victoria and Nisha; his beloved Corgi, Kindle. Steve was predeceased by his grandmother Winnie Smith, father Bob Lunny, and kindred spirit Susan Brown.
A celebration of Steve's life - a FUNeral - will be held at the LIZ Residence at 5000 de Maisonneuve West on Sunday September 28th from 2- 4 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to any ALS organization or Maison Saint Raphael would be appreciated.
Steve's family and friends will forever carry his influence in our hearts reminding us to live fully, love deeply, and face life's trials with resilience and grace.
