Elementary Basketball Season a Big Success for A and B Teams

The Elementary Basketball season was a huge success for both the A and B teams. The A team went undefeated for the season (10-0) and finished the year winning the league championship. They also participated in three travel tournaments, one of which was in Toronto and two in Montreal, where they were finalist. In total, the boys finished the year with nineteen wins and three losses in a total of twenty-two games. Three of our fourteen athletes were invited to play a level up with the grade seven team at the CAIS tournament. They boys represented our elementary school to the highest standard of excellence on the court and in the classroom. True examples of Veritas in the making.

The B team approached every tournament and exhibition game with an opportunity to improve. They won the Kuper Invitational tournament, putting an exclamation point on their year of development in skill, confidence, and knowledge of the game. These young Gryphons worked diligently on their skills in gym class and after school.

The coaching staff is very excited to watch all these young student-athletes continue their journey on the court. We wish our grade sixes all the best in Middle School and are excited to see which grade fives rise to leadership roles for next year. - Coach Boyle & Kelley
