Inspiration Takes Center Stage at Math Movie Night

On November 13th, Selwyn hosted the 3rd Annual Math Movie Night.  Senior school students gathered to watch the inspiring story of Indian mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan in The Man Who Knew Infinity.  Following the film, students had their questions answered and engaged in lively discussion with our panelists. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Alia Sajjad and Dr. Abbas Khalili from McGill’s Department of Mathematics and Statistics for sharing their expertise and passion with us.
A highlight of the evening was the inspiring message from Platon Kotkovskyy '25, Pre-U '26, about the importance of pursuing what you love and how doing so reflects our Veritas value of being true to yourself. We are so proud of Platon and of Ken Gu '25, Pre-U '26 who acted as our outstanding MC for the evening.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this event such a success.  We are already accepting suggestions for our next Math Movie Night! - The Senior Math Department
