Four out of five projects entered from Selwyn House won prizes in the 35th edition of the Hydro-Québec Montreal Regional Science & Technology Fair, held at Concordia University on March 26-28.
Rory Krnjevic and Enoch Tamale took home the McGill University Faculty of Engineering Award and a $250 prize for their project entitled: “What is the Best Material that Can Be Used to Make Quebec Roads More Reliable and Long-lasting?”
Tomas Dubroca won the Marianopolis Science Award, worth $100, for his project “A D8 Modification for a Life.”
Alexis Delplace received the McGill Earth & Planetary Sciences Award and a $100 Prize for his project, “Flame Characteristics as an Indicator of Wood-Burning Efficiency.”
Hunter Hoy won the McGill University Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences Department of Food Science Award, with its accompanying award of $100 for his project, “An Alternative Way of Growing.”
