On September 29, Evren’s first feature film, We’re Still Together, co-produced by writer-director Jesse Noah Klein and SHS Old Boy Marley Sniatowsky 2007, opened in theatres across Quebec.
We’re Still Together had its world premiere in the main competition at the 2016 Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in Prague, and went on to screen at the Festival du nouveau cinéma, BAFICI in Buenos Aires, won the grand jury prize at the New Hampshire Film Festival, and was shown at over 20 other festivals around the world. The film garnered ACTRA awards for its two leading actors. Now it has begun its initial commercial release in theatres in Montreal.
An IndieWire reviewer described the film as “a smart and sensitive micro-budget drama” that “muscles its way above the masses on the strength of its unpredictability.”
