Junior debaters shine at McGill, three teams qualify for Oxford Cup
Selwyn House junior debating team of Isaac Cape and Jonah Rosen (both Grade 9) won the junior category at the annual British Parliamentary High School Tournament, held at McGill University over the Oct 21-22 weekend. Two SHS junior teams made it to the finals.
Also, Isaac was named First Place Speaker, and Jonah Second Place Speaker in the junior division.
In the senior division, three SHS teams qualified for the Oxford Cup, a national tournament that will be held at Selwyn House in November.
A total of six teams from Selwyn House participated in the McGill Tournament.
