Heartfelt Thank You to our PVA!

At the Parent Volunteer Appreciation Coffee on June 6, Laura Osborne, Co-Chair of the PVA, expressed her gratitude to all the volunteers who dedicated their time and effort to Selwyn House this year. She stated, "Your contributions, whether big or small, have made a significant impact on the school community." She thanked the volunteers for helping out with various tasks such as lunch supervision, library organization, and being a Class Parent.

Joyce McCauley, the other Co-Chair of the PVA, echoed Laura's sentiments and praised the volunteers for their dedication. She said, "Selwyn House is a special place, and it's because of the dedicated volunteers like you."

Special thanks were given to Krista Plank, an exceptional parent volunteer who will be leaving Montreal this summer to relocate to Amsterdam. Laura thanked her for all the hard work and dedication she put in to making Selwyn House a better place. She wished Krista and her boys all the best in their new journey but assured them that they will always be part of the Selwyn family.

Musical performances were part of the morning's agenda. The Kindergarten class went all out to show their appreciation to our parent volunteers. They put on a fantastic performance of "What a Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong, and then personally presented each volunteer with a handmade flower. Another highlight from the event was when Grade 7 student Zac Ellis played the piano and sang "Your Song!" by Elton John, thanking all the parents for their hard work. The Kitchen also prepared a beautiful table of viennoiserie, coffee, and tea, ensuring everyone was well cared for. During the event, every parent volunteer received a pink Gerbera daisy as a gift.

Headmaster Mike Downey expressed his heartfelt appreciation to all the volunteers, emphasizing how much their hard work and dedication meant to the school. The event was a touching demonstration of the kindness and gratitude that exist within our school community.
