Congratulations to the SHS Cadet Rugby Team on their hard-fought victory in the finals against cross-town rivals, Loyola. The coaching staff couldn’t be more proud of this exceptional group of athletes. The Gryphons played with heart and determination, showing incredible resilience as they rallied from a 12–0 halftime deficit to secure a 19–12 win.

This remarkable comeback reflects the team’s dedication, passion, and relentless drive to improve throughout the season. It’s a well-deserved ending to an incredible journey—a season and a team I will never forget.

A special thank you to my coaching staff, Coach Damien, Coach Fitzgerald and Coach Govan for all the knowledge and enthusiasm that they brought to the team. The Rugby program would also like to extend heartfelt thanks to the parents for their unwavering support and for entrusting us with the opportunity to coach and mentor their young athletes in this great sport.
