Full School Assembly Welcomes All Back

Today was a special day at Selwyn House School as everyone came together for the annual full-school assembly. After signing "O Canada" with piano accompaniment by Nathan C. in Grade 10, Headmaster Michael Downey warmly welcomed new students and spoke about the importance of kindness and respect. He then invited Head Prefect Eli R. to address the school. In a thoughtful address, Eli spoke about the importance of making everyone feel welcome and how Selwyn has come to feel like a second home for him.

To end the assembly, Headmaster Downey created a meaningful moment by asking the Kindergarten boys to turn and wave to the Grade 11 and Grade 12 students at the back of the room. The exchange served as a reminder of the journey that lies ahead for the youngest and a reflection for the oldest on how far they have come.
