Selwyn House @ Home in B.C.

Since the last week of March, Grade 11 student Rory Krnjevic has been working in Kelowna, B.C. at his mother's food business while keeping up his online studies with Selwyn House.

“Because her business is part of the food chain, it is considered an essential service,” Rory explains.

“It isn't so fun getting up at 5:30 a.m. for Zoom meetings and TAG,  but working in the freezer and learning to drive a forklift make up for it.”

Rory’s mother, Claire Fripp, assures Headmaster Hannaford that Rory has been making most of his online classes between shifts and is almost caught up in his work.

“I feel [the pandemic situation] will get worse before it gets better,” she says, “but Rory will make it out the other side of Gr 11!!”
