Middle School Shines in Canadian National Mathematics League Contest

On February 19, the entire Middle School took part in the Canadian National Mathematics League contest. The purpose of this competition is to encourage students to approach mathematics in novel ways, sparking intellectual curiosity that extends beyond our regular curriculum. It also provides an opportunity for us to acknowledge and commend our top performers.

With a possible score of 35 points, the Grade 7 winners were Leo V. with 24 points, Marc W. with 23 points, and Bernie G. and Andrew Z. who tied for third with 20 points. In Grade 8, the winners were Jacques H. with 32 points, and Shawn C. and Mikey M., who both tied for second place with 23 points. Congratulations to our winners, and a big round of applause to everyone else who participated! - Mr. Kalichman, Middle School Mathematic teacher
